I'm a big breakfast sandwich guy. I like to make them with eggs, english muffins and cheese, sheep or goat cheese of course! I also use local, organic eggs but that's not the point. My point is that I have found a new, favorite english muffin. I've always been a fan of the Thomas' 100% whole wheat english muffins because there are no refined, enriched flours; however, the ingredients list is still quite long. But I think I found a new favorite/
Nutrionally, Rudi's Organic multigrain english muffin with flax is quite close in values to the Thomas' 100% whole wheat muffin, but in the taste and texture category, Rudi kicks Tom's ass! And more importantly, this organic muffin has fewer questionable ingredients in them which makes me feel better about what I'm eating.
You can find Rudi's Organic mutligrain english muffins yourself at your local Whole Foods or online at http://www.rudisbakery.com - and for the record, I have received nothing from Rudi's to make me want to talk about them; I simply think that these are superior english muffins!

ReplyDeleteI'll have to check out the ingredients on Rudi's!
Mmmm, love Thomas's :)
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I love Rudi's English muffins! They are the best.
ReplyDeleteHi veganf, I'll check out the Matthew's muffins - do you know if they are whole grains? My only requirement for breads and English muffins is that there are no enriched flours, they have to be all whole grains.
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer, I totally agree with you; their 100% whole wheat English muffins are some of the best!
Hi Nicole! We should start a fan club!
